In addition to a few campervan projects, I've also been working on a VanMoof Electrified S1 recently.
The smart e-bikes sold in 2016 and 2017 are already a bit outdated and as VanMoof was also insolvent in the meantime, there is very little information about these first-generation bikes on the internet.
After searching for a long time on Reddit, classifieds and various Facebook groups for information and learning a lot about these bikes, I would like to put together a small collection of information here to help anyone who wants to repair their bike themselves.
To start with, I'll go for the S1, then maybe the S2 and S3 later.

Structure of the Bafang front motor of a VanMoof Electrified S1 from 2017
This is what a Bafang G313.250 from a VanMoof Electrified S1 from 2017 looks like from the inside. This motor was ridden for approx. 11,000 km and was still ready to ride without any problems. However, as I had problems with the speed measurement via the integrated Hall sensor in the meantime, I dismantled it.
